2016 JIM POOLE CLASSIC BADMINTON TOURNAMENT

More than 60 entries vied for SIngles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles titles at the annual Jim Poole Classic at the Arizona Badminton Center. Jacky Myers of Laguna Hills, Ca took the Open Women Singles trophy while the rest of the winners were Arizonans. Seigo Hashimoto won the Open Men Singles. Theo and Kiyoko Hashimoto earned the Open Women Doubles title, while Amogh Gadagi and Avinash Mamidanna won the Open Men Doubles. Kiyoko teamed with Art Solo to win the Open Mixed. There were also lots of great matches in the "B", Master and consolation events. We completed the tournament with a special dinner honoring US Badminton legend Jim Poole at a local restaurant. Jim shared some fantastic stories highlighting international badminton tournaments in the 1950s and 1960s! The complete finals' results are as follows:
