8. Age eligibility and minors
A person must be at least 18 years old to personally complete an AZBC membership signup or coach registration. AZBC may request date of birth to verify this requirement. If the submitted date of birth shows that the person is under 18 on the submission date, the signup cannot continue. This restriction applies to the person accepting the membership or coach registration terms. It does not by itself prohibit a minor from participating in an eligible AZBC activity through a separate parent- or guardian-authorized process where AZBC expressly permits it.
AZBC serves families and youth athletes, but the website and future account system are not intended for children under 13 to use independently. A parent or legal guardian must submit or authorize personal information for a child under 13. Participants under 18 may also require a parent or legal guardian to complete the applicable consent, waiver, and account steps before participation. If we learn that personal information was submitted directly by a child under 13 without required parental authorization, please contact us. We will review the matter and delete or otherwise handle the information as required.

Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.
